What happens at the new member auditions?

Please prepare a song from a musical of your choice.  You can either bring sheet music for piano accompaniment or a backing track which does not include vocals.  We have an speaker you can plug your phone into using an Aux cable or Bluetooth (someone will be able to help you do this on the day).

You will be asked to perform your prepared song for our director, musical director and a few members of our committee.  You’ll also take part in a fun group movement session with some current KAOS members, led by our choreographer. Please wear comfy clothes and shoes you can move in! You will normally be notified within 24 hours of the outcome of the audition.

When do you rehearse?

KAOS normally rehearse on a Tuesday evening, Thursday evening and a Sunday afternoon from October to March and cast members must be available to be called to any rehearsal.

How much does it cost?

It’s free to audition to join us!

If successful, we have an annual membership fee which is split into three payments and includes all rehearsal fees and your show t-shirt.  A discount is available for students in full-time education.

Who can join KAOS?

Unless otherwise stated, members must be a minimum of 16 years old to audition for KAOS.  A playing member of the society also allows you to perform in our annual production, with the KAOS concert party and take part in any social and fundraising events that take place throughout the year.
